Invicta Men’s 354 Specialty White Dial Black Calf Leather Quartz Watch Review

If you a practical shopper looking for a fairly-priced, time-teller that won’t clean your wallet, the Invicta Men’s Specialty White Dial Black Calf Leather Quartz Watch, retailing at $395 and available below $100 online, is an appropriate choice. However, I don’t think it is your best one. Unlike the comparably priced Invicta Men’s Pro-Diver 9307 which allows you to swim inexpensively with the reefs and sharks to under-water depths of 660 feet, this watch does not offer such athletic prowess (only supporting dives to 330 feet down under).  I also find it very bland on the eyes. You are paying a bit more than you should for the  Black calf leather with white contrast stitching and silver-tone grommets which are the primary distinguishing feature of this otherwise plain Jane watch.  That distinction which is hardly noticeable is not worth the extra cash which could be better spent on a savvier look and an increase in features. All in all, although the Invicta Men’s Specialty White Dial Black Calf Leather Quartz watch is inexpensive, you can do better.

Some of the features of this blasé find are:

  • Stainless steel case with screw-down case-back: Screw-down
  • Black dial, black and luminous hour and minute hands; luminous second hands
  • Luminous indices and Arabic numeral markers
  • Month, day of the week and 24 hour sub-dials
  • Strap: Black calf leather with white contrast stitching and silver-tone grommets
  • Tang buckle clasp with Flame-fusion crystal dial-window and Push/pull crown
  • High quality Swiss quartz movement
  • Water resistance to 10 ATM/100 meters/330 feet

In summary, the Invicta Men’s 395 Specialty White Dial Black Calf Leather Quartz watch, while inexpensive, is a boring and overpriced choice. It offers durability and lives up to its intended use, but its blandness makes it a third or fourth choice among its competitors. If you find yourself flirting with the underbelly of the ocean on a regular basis, give the Invicta Men’s 9307 Pro Diver Collection Stainless Steel watch a second look instead for a similar price. If you are a serious diver and you can afford some extra research time or some extra cash, take a look at the Invicta Men’s 6555 Subaqua Noma IV Collection Chronograph Stainless Steel Watch which retails just shy of $3000 which you can find online from a reseller for nearly the same price as this Invicta Men’s 395 Quartz. In short, if you are willing to clock in for some comparative shopping, I recommend that you aim for something more feature-rich and stylish at a comparable price.
