Invicta states, “We have long held firm to the belief that supremely crafted timepieces can be offered for extremely modest sums. It is the founding principle of our flagship and the radical notion that still drives us today. By being true to our convictions, we will continue to turn the balance of power, and deliver true Swiss luxury to anyone who desires it. Let all those who possess our timepieces and pass through our doors witness the quality, value and care in every piece we create, and the spirit of never-ending possibilities in everything we do.” Their message sure makes it seem like you would enjoy owning one of their timepieces. The Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Chronograph Black Ion Plated Stainless Steel Chronograph 76, is a watch, as the series name suggests, meant to be used by divers and others who may find their watches succumbing to water, but may appeal to a broader audience as well.

The watch, model number 0076, features a round design, analog display, and fold over clasp typical of most classic and contemporary watches.

This sleek, all black brushed stainless steel design with stainless steel accents is elegant with a little bit of flair. Not to over the top, but perfect for making an impression. Its waterproof design comfortably ventures to a depth of 660 feet, perfect for an intrepid diver and adventurer. The marriage of design and functionality sure proves rugged doesn’t have to be ugly. At about 49 mm or 2 inches across, it is certainly a bigger wristwatch. If you are looking for something on the smaller end of the spectrum than this watch certainly isn’t for you. While some may feel the watch is cumbersome, you may like the larger size as a contribution to the motif of the ruggedness inherent in the watch. Speaking of which, the Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Chronograph Black Ion Plated Stainless Steel Chronograph 76 features a luminous design which helps you maintain time even in the dimmest of settings. Both the hour dots and the hands of the watch are luminous. So fear not the dark oh brave adventurer. Additionally, right inside the 4 marker is a date display to help you keep track of time on even the craziest of journeys. While this watch retails for over $700, it can easily be found for less than $200 if not lower if you are able to find a deal.

Pros

  • Water-resistant to 660 feet
  • Luminous
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Large design may not be suitable for smaller wrists
  • Fold over clasp design makes it hard to adjust
Get this watch  if you want a prominent time piece that stands out and holds up against water.
Pass on this watch if you have smaller hands or if you want a smaller more subtle timepiece.
