The Invicta Specialty has a Black, Polyurethane Strap with Stainless Steel Buckle Clasp.

The Invicta Specialty has a durable design. Its case is made of brushed and polished stainless steel and its strap is a durable polyurethane. The case measures approximately 45mm (1.77 inches) in diameter. Its black, polyurethane is secured with a stainless steel buckle, and flame-fusion crystal makes the watch impact resistant. The Specialty is also water-resistant down to 100 meters (330 feet).

While polyurethane can be a bit stiff at first, it can be broken in fairly quickly and is quite comfortable after that. It moves with you as you flex and can’t be damaged by water, making it an excellent watch for daily wear. The watch can stand up to a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.

This timepiece has a classic round face, dark blue dial, and silver-tone hands and arabic numerals. Thick silver dashes mark the quarter hours, except 12 o’clock which is marked by a large silver triangle. The unidirectional, stainless steel bezel has a coin edge. It’s marked with black arabic numerals and tick marks displaying the minutes and quarter hours.

The Invicta Specialty (11423) normally retails for $495.00 from the manufacturer, but it can be found online for just under $100. Even if you prefer to see the watch in person before deciding, I’d suggest checking Amazon.com, WatchesOnNet.com, or endless.com for deals before you actually make the purchase. Even with tax and shipping – which are often free besides – such savings are well worth the wait.

Pros:

  • Durable
  • Versatile look
  • Comfortable fit
  • Visible in low-light conditions
  • Stylish, high contrast color scheme

Cons:

  • No sub-dials
  • No date display

The style and durability of this watch really make it versatile. The dark blue, silver, and black color scheme which goes well with almost any outfit, and the Invicta II’s round face give it a classic style. This combines well with the watches durability to make the Specialty an excellent addition to any wardrobe. You can wear the watch pretty much anywhere and for almost any occasion. Though you may want something slightly snazzier for formal occasions, this watch could certainly pass at work or out on the town after.

If you’re buying the watch online for around $100, the look and functionality are well worth the price. The fact that the Invicta II doesn’t have as many bells and whistles (sub-dials, date display, or luminous numerals and hands) may be a deal breaker though.

Summary:
The Invicta II is an excellent investment if you’re looking for a high quality casual-wear timepiece. This is a durable and comfortable but equally stylish watch making it highly wearable. Since it lacks some of the features of similarly priced watches, you may want to hold out until you can find it for less than $495 retailer asking price, but fortunately this is fairly easy to do. If you find it for $100 or less, snap this little beauty up!
