Invicta”s collection of water resistant watches just got better with the New Invicta Men’s 0519 Subaqua Noma IV Collection Chronograph Midsize Black Polyurethane Watch is a watched designed to leave a lasting impression because of its loud and boisterous presence.

First of all this watch is a little larger than many of the other Invicta mid-sized watches. In addition to its size, this watch’s durable flame infused brushed crystal, stainless steel metal frame, and overall girth make this watch a very imposing figure on any wrist, and may even look cumbersome on a smaller wrist, so this is probably one of those pieces you actually want to see on your wrist before actually purchasing one. Even though it is large, the durable polyurethane strap with steel inserts is more comfortable than the stainless steel links found on other watches. While many of Invicta’s water proof pieces offer Japanese automatic movement, that method of time telling is not as accurate as true swizz movement. The good thing here, is that this watch is actually equipped with Precise Swiss-quartz movement while still managing to reach water protection for up to 500 meters. That is a whopping 1,650 feet, a number most other watches cannot come close to. This level of coverage makes it the perfect choice for divers. If one can get used to how this watch feels on the wrist, is alright with how imposing it is, this watch really has no reason to ever leave the wrist.

So what can you expect out of this watch in terms of look and functionality? The unidirectional rotating bezel and screw down crown make customizing the calender function and Chronograph features easily. There is even a tachymeter found in the unidirectional rotating bezel. The watches face can be a little convoluted with its black perforated dial. The dial is cut with with silver-tone hands and hour markers that  are illuminated by Invicta’s trademark luminous Trinite technology which helps with the visibility, but because it tries to pack in so many sub features, the face can be hard to read..

Pros:

  • Precise Swiss-quartz movement
  • Chronograph functions with 60 second, 30 minute and 1/10 of a Second Sub Dial.
  • Water Resistant
  • Day and date function
Cons:
  • Price is on the Expensive Side
  • Display can be Convoluted
  • Large Size

The Subaqua is the perfect choice for the diver who wants one accessory for multiple occasions, and at $2395.00 retail and around $300.00 online, this watch is a good investment because of its functionality and reliability underwater if you can afford it.
