The Invicta II Chronograph (0794) is the kind of watch you can slip on and wear just about anywhere. This inexpensive watch has a chic appearance and high quality construction that makes it an absolute steal.

Features:

  • Luminous
  • Flame-fusion Crystal
  • Swiss-quartz Movement
  • 60 second, 30 minute and 12 hour Sub-dials

Invicta’s Invicta II Chronograph (0794) has a black, ion plated, stainless steel case. The case measures a nice 45mm in diameter and sits on your wrist comfortably at13mm thick. The black strap matches perfectly as it is also made of black, ion plated, stainless steel. The bracelet fits most wrists at 10 inches in length and 20mm wide. It is secured by a deployment style clasp complete with a safety latch.

A push/pull crown and screw-down case back secure the watch and ensure the Invicta II Chronograph will be water-resistant down to 100 meters (330 feet). In addition, Invicta’s signature flame-fusion crystal makes this timepiece more impact resistant than most. Swiss-quartz chronograph movement keeps the watch displaying time precisely.

Silver-tone, luminous indices illuminate the black dial while silver-tone hands indicate the time. The hour and minute hands are also luminous, glowing green in low light. Apart from the Arabic numeral 12 at the top of the dial, only the sub-dials use numerals while the remaining hours are marked with dashes. Small, silver-tone, Arabic numerals line the outer rim of the dial, indicating the minutes in fives.

Three sub-dials measure time in 60 second, 30 minute and 12 hour intervals. These are each outlined by silver-tone circular boarders and punctuated by silver-tone hands and numerals. The date is displayed in black, Arabic numerals against a white background which is framed in silver. This can be found at the 4 o’clock position.

Pros:
Durable
Readable
Inexpensive
Comfortable
Versatile Style
Multiple Functions

Cons:
Not Eye-Catching

The Invicta II Chronograph is typically listed at $495.00, but you can find deals on sites such as eWatches.com, Amazon.com, or TheWatchery.com which bring the price down closer to $100-150.00 with little to no shipping.

The Invicta II is light weight and nicely sized. You don’t feel weighed down by the watch, but it has a large enough dial to be easily viewable. The strap fits comfortably on your wrist and blends seamlessly in with the rest of the design.

The relatively high contrast color scheme on the dial and luminous hour markers and hands make this chronograph easy to read even in low-light conditions. The Invicta II is also easy to operate, making it a perfect first watch.

Its versatile style and simple black color scheme help the Invicta II Chronograph blend seamlessly into a variety of settings. Formal or casual, indoor or outdoor, this timepiece is a chic companion. On the flip side, this is not the kind of watch that turns heads. Yes it’s chic and looks good when people do stop to notice it, but there’s nothing to jump out at you. Still, there’s definitely something to be said for a watch you can wear anywhere. If you’re looking to buy just one watch for all occasions, this would be one of my first choices.

Summary:
Invicta’s quality is present even in this inexpensive watch. Impact resistant, water resistant, and precise, you couldn’t ask for a more durable watch. The sub-dials and luminous hands and indices increase its usability. You can take it swimming, wear it work, or even disguise it under a suit on special occasions. And for less than $200.00 this watch is a steal. How can you go wrong?
