Invicta Men's Force Collection Quartz Chronograph Side View: A multi-functional, classic timepiece with exceptional durability and style

Force. Muscle. Macho. Grrrr. Everyone loves a bit of functional fashion reminiscent of military industrial hardware. Timepieces that look like instrument panel dials from Das Boot have a weirdly romantic aesthetic, even though they are clearly masculine and boldly rugged. Invicta’s Force Collection 1512 Chronograph has exactly that kind of appeal. It is a practical watch, while at the same time has a style that recalls an era when people cared about quality. It is a good thing.

Watch Features:

  • Analog Display
  • Tachymeter
  • 46mm Stainless Steel Case with 13mm Thickness
  • Cloth/Leather Black Watch Strap with 21mm Width and Standard Buckle
  • Luminous Black Dial With Arabic Numeral Hour Markers
  • Three Sub-Dials with 60-Second, 30-Minute and 1/10 Second Functions
  • Stopwatch
  • Date Window at 3 o’clock Marker
  • Stationary Bezel
  • Japanese Quartz Movement
  • Mineral Crystal Dial Window
  • Water Resistant Up to 330ft

The Force Collection is a series of timepieces that are clearly sporty and utilitarian, but still have an aura of class about them. The case is a large, round stainless steel, with a luminous black dial for easy legibility and three 60-second, 30-minute and 1/10 second sub-dials. The white Arabic numerals have a stenciled design, and provide a nice contrast with the black dial, and the red seconds hand gives a nice pop of color. The strap is cloth with leather backing, so it is durable without being ostentatious. Ostentation in rugged watches is flat out misguided, as far as I’m concerned.

The watch has a handful of bells and whistles; there is a stopwatch function, a tachymeter and the aforementioned chronograph dials. It is water resistant up to 330ft and is powered by a precise Japanese Quartz movement.

This is a durable watch. The dial window is tough, scratch-resistant mineral crystal, which can endure quite a bit of rough wear. The only argument against this watch would have to be purely aesthetic criteria. Everyone, naturally, has their own style, and while some appreciate a classic look, other misguided souls prefer big plastic or rubber monstrosities. It probably won’t compliment business or formal attire, but this watch will flatter a wide variety of funky ensembles. This is an unquestionably bold and hardy timepiece, and it will be a snazzy addition to anyone’s wardrobe.
