Invicta has always been dedicated to making Swiss quality watches financially available for anyone who wants them. The Subaqua Men’s Collection has taken this a step further by committing to affordable watches with specialized qualities for active men. The Invicta Subaqua Noma III GMT Flex Mens Watch 0781┬áis an example of this affordable quality.

This watch, designed specifically for active men, comes with the following features:

  • Stainless steel, titanium color case
  • Unidirectional rotating bezel
  • Polyurethane band, with stainless steel inserts
  • Water resistant up to 500 meters
  • Date function

This all-grey watch looks powerful, and it is. There are no features that aren’t designed to be useful, from the rotating bezel to the date function, which is situated at the 3 o’clock position. The polyurethane band, also grey, is designed to keep this piece on your wrist at all times, while the stainless steel inserts add an extra sturdiness to the band. Like all Subaqua pieces, this model is water resistant, making it ideal for an active, outdoor man.

There are no numerals at all on the dial, which adds to the simplicity of the look, but also makes it difficult to read. With only hour marks to go on, it’s difficult to get an accurate reading of the time. The masculine all-grey aesthetic also could impede an easy reading of the watch; everything tends to blend together, although the dial is a darker shade of grey. The numbers on the rotating bezel, however, blend into the bezel itself, almost rendering that feature useless. While the hand are luminous, this watch would be very difficult to read in the dark.

Although Invicta has consistently lower prices than most brands with the same Swiss quality, this piece has a list price of $995.00, which may be more than most men are willing to pay for a watch they can’t read easily. Other pieces in the Subaqua Collection have more of a contrast and would maybe be better suited for men who want to be able to tell the time with just a quick glance.
