The Invicta Reserve Chronograph (0645) has a brushed and polished stainless steel case which measures 47mm in diameter and 20mm thick. This is framed by a stainless steel, unidirectional grey bezel. The bezel is lined with black, Arabic numerals on white back drops, which mark the quarter hours. In addition, small, white orbs mark the individual hours between the quarters. Similarly, silver-tone, luminous orbs mark the hours around the dial.

Gunmetal, luminous hour and minute hands and a white second hand indicate the time. Also luminous, the Reserve has

three sub-dials measuring time in 60 second, 30 minute, and 1/10th a second intervals. These are accented by silver-tone hands. The date function is located between 4 and 5 o’clock. The date is displayed in black, Arabic numerals on a white back ground.

All this silver, grey, and white shows up nicely against the black dial, making the watch extremely readable as well as handsome. A black, polyurethane strap brings the Reserve’s look together. The strap is approximately 9 inches long and 28mm wide and is secured by a stainless steel buckle clasp.

This Reserve Chronograph has a screw-down crown and pushers. The watch is well sealed, ensuring it will resist water down to 100 meters (330 feet). Invicta’s signature flame-fusion crystal makes the watch more impact resistant than most, and Swiss-quartz movement keeps it displaying time precisely.

Measuring 47mm in diameter and 20mm thick, this Reserve Chronograph is a large watch.

  • Comfortable
  • Highly Readable
  • Multiple Functions
  • Chic and Versatile Style

  • Too big for some

The first thing to note about this watch is its large case and dial. You will definitely notice this watch and so will those around you. While this can be a very good thing, yielding second glances and compliments, it can also be problematic. If you have a smaller frame, the watch will probably look out of place and down right bulky. On the other hand, men with a broader upper body and large bone structure pull this watch off with style. Regardless of your build, be sure you’ll like the size of this timepiece before you make your purchase.

The tough design of the watch does limit how much you can dress this piece up, but the color scheme is certainly versatile. The Reserve Chronograph (0645) has a chic silver and grey on black design which suits just about any wardrobe, and it dresses up or down equally well. The Reserve’s high contrast color scheme also make this watch very readable. Even the date display, though small, is easy to read with its black on white numerals. The large size of the dial only serves to further improve readability.

Polyurethane can be stiff at first, but once broken in it gives the watch a comfortable and flexible fit. The material is also durable and can stand up to a variety of weather conditions. This combined with the waterproofing keeps the reserve ticking even under water or in highly humid climates.

If there’s anything the Reserve Chronograph (0645) can promise, it’s durability and notability. This well built and chic looking watch would make an excellent addition to almost any wardrobe – provided of course you like large watches. For a watch that can go just about anywhere you do and look good going there, the Reserve is a steal at under $400.00.
